Hill Street Challenge Rules

The Hill Street Challenge is a contest organized by Hill Street Beverage Company Inc. (“Hill Street”) which will award a $10,000 CDN donation to either The Arthritis Society of Canada (“ASC”) or Prostate Cancer Canada (“PCC”) based on which organization is able to earn a higher level of social media engagement, as outlined below.

Consumers will be asked to take the “Hill Street Challenge” and go alcohol-free for 30-days, beginning January 2nd 2019 until January 31st 2019, in support of either ASC or PCC. Consumers will then be asked to use Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram to create and share content about their experiences using the hashtag #hillstreetchallenge and their favoured charity’s hashtag, either #DryforArthritis in support of ASC, or #PCC in support of PCC; no other hashtags will be accepted in awarding points to one of the charities. Only content created, shared, and engaged with on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram will count towards this contest. Every post, tweet, like, share, or retweet (“engagement”) that contains both the #hillstreetchallenge hashtag AND the hashtag of ONE charity will count for one point. Any engagement that contains hashtags for both charities will count as one point for each organization.
There are no restrictions on the number of engagements a person or organization may contribute to the Hill Street Challenge, but Hill Street may in their sole and absolute discretion, exclude any entries that they find demeaning, insulting, morally or socially objectionable, or offensive in any manner whatsoever.

On February 1st, 2019, an agency on behalf of the Hill Street Beverage Company will tabulate all of the engagement earned between January 2 and January 31st (inclusive) through all recognized social media channels. The charity with the highest level of engagement will earn the $10,000 donation. The winner will be announced at a private event to be held on February 2, 2019, then posted on the www.hillstreetchallenge.com website within 5 business days.

The winning charity partner will earn a $10,000 CDN cheque from Hill Street. Hill Street, at it’s sole discretion and with no obligation to do so, may decide to award a runner-up prize of a lesser amount to the organization that finishes second.
